The French governance had baffled their power and Vietnam finally gained back in that respect independence. But, the French establishment would not give up there power without a fight. They still wanted control over Vietnam. The only elan they could get the land back was to fight for it. This fight came substantially in the Battle of Dien Bien Phu. This battle was fought between France and Vietnam. Dien Bien Phu was the name of the city that the battle was fought in; therefore, you get the name of the battle. The Vietnamese puddle an attack on the French with a force of over 40,000 men. This attack proved strong enough, defeating the French and the Vietnamese passel finally had their land back.
